Pegasus opens with the aforementioned almond note - slightly sweet, somewhat bitter and warm, given juicy weight by a more traditionally fougere-like bergamot. The heart of the fragrance expands further on the sweet, marzipan-like depth of the almonds, while an unnoted floral accord (lavender and jasmine?) radiates gentle, refined masculinity. In the base, vanilla is the clear star of the show, replacing the mossiness of a traditional fougere with creamy warmth complemented by yellow notes, while a light, sharp sandalwood keeps everything airy enough to still serve the genre.
