Icy Dock ToughArmor

Convert the Ultra-Slim ODD Bay into a High-Speed NVMe Drive Bay
Upgrade the standard 9.5mm Ultra-Slim ODD bay into a removable U.2/U.3 NVMe SSD bay that delivers enterprise-class speed and reliability in limited space. Ideal for Dell, HP, and Lenovo business desktops, compact workstations, and industrial or government systems, the MB411V4PO-2B enables quick drive maintenance, secure data access, and flexible storage expansion for environments where uptime and serviceability matter. This conversion adapter enables quick drive maintenance, secure data access, and flexible storage expansion where uptime and serviceability are essential.

OCuLink 4i PCIe Gen4 x4 – Native U.2/U.3 NVMe Performance
Equipped with a native OCuLink 4i (SFF-8612) interface, the MB411V4PO-2B connects directly to NVMe hosts for PCIe Gen4 x4 performance, delivering up to 64Gbps transfer bandwidth - over 10× faster than traditional SATA ODD interfaces (6Gbps). This dramatic increase in throughput enables faster data migration, real-time backups, and improved workflow efficiency for business and industrial applications.

EZ-Slide Slim Tray for 7mm U.2/U.3 SSDs
The EZ-Slide Slim drive tray supports 7mm U.2/U.3 SSDs and is built from a lightweight, one-piece aluminum frame, offering superior rigidity and heat conduction. Drives are securely fastened to the tray with screws for maximum stability. Once installed, the tray slides smoothly into the enclosure and locks firmly into place, ensuring a reliable connection every time. This removable tray design enables hot-swap capability (when supported by the host system), making drive replacement, data backup, OS swapping, or secure data transport quick and convenient - ideal for IT maintenance, field operations, and professional workstation environments.

Enterprise-Ready Removability for Secure Workflows
The removable drive design allows sensitive data to be stored securely in locked cabinets, vaults, or transport cases, meeting the needs of government, military, and enterprise users that require removable media for daily backup or secure data rotation. When paired with a host that supports NVMe hot-swap, the MB411V4PO-2B enables seamless drive replacement without system shutdown - perfect for minimizing downtime in mission-critical workflows.

Full-Metal ToughArmor Construction
Built with ICY DOCK’s renowned ToughArmor all-metal construction, the MB411V4PO-2B ensures maximum durability and protection for both the drive and the device itself. Its ruggedized metal enclosure and tray meet UL94 V0 flammability requirements, providing enhanced safety and reliability for server rooms, military, and industrial applications where stability and endurance are essential.

Efficient Passive Cooling
The all-metal body acts as a natural heat sink, while strategically placed ventilation holes promote optimal airflow for passive heat dissipation. This ensures stable NVMe performance even during sustained operation in compact enclosures. To maximize cooling efficiency, ensure proper system airflow when integrating this adapter into your system.

Optional M.2 NVMe to U.2 Conversion with EZConvert
The EZConvert MB705M4P-S converts an M.2 NVMe SSD into a standard 7mm U.2 form factor for broad compatibility with U.2 bays and backplanes. Its full-metal construction, combined with a pre-installed thermal pad, efficiently transfers heat from the M.2 SSD to the metal housing for passive cooling, while tool-less installation makes SSD upgrades and maintenance quick and simple.
