The InLine® Gigabit network card adds an additional RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet port to compatible systems via PCI Express. The card is based on the Broadcom BCM5721 NetXtreme chipset and supports network connections at 10/100/1000 Mb/s, including auto-negotiation.
With support for IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3u and IEEE 802.3ab, the network card is suitable for various wired network environments. Features such as Wake-on-LAN, VLAN according to IEEE 802.1Q and Jumbo Frames up to 9K support flexible network configurations and can enable efficient data transfer depending on the infrastructure.
Additional features such as TCP/IP offload, checksum offload, large send offload and interrupt coalescing can reduce the system load and contribute to stable data transmission. The network card also supports SMBus 2.0 controller and IPMI 1.5 functions for management and monitoring tasks.
Thanks to the PCIe x1 interface and the included low-profile slot bracket, the card is also suitable for compact systems and industrial PCs. The integrated status LEDs provide information on network connection and data activity directly at the RJ45 port.

LED behaviour on the port

The network card has two status LEDs on the RJ45 port.
Orange LED (Link) – Lights up continuously as soon as a network connection is established.
Green LED (Activity) – Flashes as soon as data is being transferred.
