AXIS D2210-VE offers a 95° field of detection and can detect, classify, and track humans up to 60 m (200 feet) and vehicles up to 90 m (295 feet). And, with road monitoring profile enabled, the detection range for vehicles increases up to 150 m (492 feet). The radar also provides the exact position of the detected objects. AXIS D2210-VE can be used stand-alone for non-visual monitoring while safeguarding privacy. Or it can be used to steer a PTZ camera for visual verification. Furthermore, with smart coexistence functionality, it’s possible to combine up to eight AXIS D2210-VE radars in close proximity. And, you can even expand the installation with up to six AXIS D2110-VE radars and customize your detection area depending on your needs.

Deter unwanted activities
Compact in design, this radar can be wrapped in colored, non-metallic, non-carbon-based foil to blend seamlessly into various environments or, if desired, to stand out. An integrated dynamic LED strip can be used to deter, warn, or notify, or it can be switched off for more discrete monitoring. Additionally, using edge-to-edge technology, you can easily connect additional devices and use AXIS D2210-VE to trigger events or actions. For example, a fixed dome camera to trigger a recording whenever an object appears in the field of detection. Or a horn speaker to remotely address people or play prerecorded messages to deter unwanted activities.

Speed, direction, and statistics
With the road monitoring profile enabled, this powerful device can detect vehicles traveling at up to 200 km/h (125 mph). Thanks to multiple line-crossing, it increases the accuracy of wrong-way detection and counting. Plus, it can be used to trigger events and gather more reliable traffic statistics 24/7, for instance about the direction vehicles were traveling or what turns they took. Additionally, you can download AXIS Speed Monitor free-of-charge, and efficiently gather data about the monitored road and, if requested, visualize speed and count data in a camera live view through a seamless connection. This data can be sent to an MQTT broker. Furthermore, you can connect AXIS D2210-VE to a digital speed sign to display the speed of passing vehicles.
